Job Description:

Justteachers are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to work across KS3 in a forward‑thinking SEMH school in Warrington. Become part of a committed team within a specialist setting that supports children aged 7–16 with a wide range of SEMH needs. Your role will involve helping to create an inclusive, empowering learning environment where every pupil can flourish.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons designed to meet the needs of pupils with a variety of SEMH challenges
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and wider staff to maintain a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, taking time to understand their emotional needs, triggers, and motivators
  • Champion the school’s ethos and contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive atmosphere where every young person feels valued and supported

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working with children in a school or similar educational environment
  • Strong background in supporting pupils with SEMH needs, as well as those with Autism and other additional learning or behavioural needs
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and grounded when responding to challenging behaviours or emotionally heightened situations
  • A genuine commitment to promoting children’s emotional well‑being, learning progress, and overall development
