Job Responsibility:
Build Therapeutic Alliances: Use a 'Relational Approach' to build trust with students who have disengaged from learning
Behaviour Intervention: Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and help pupils manage emotional triggers
Small Group Support: Facilitate 'Nurture Groups' focusing on social skills, resilience, and emotional literacy
Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed logs on student engagement to support EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) reviews
Requirements:
A degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Criminology OR 1+ years of experience in Youth Work/Social Care
Resilience: The ability to handle challenging verbal and physical behaviours with a calm, non-judgmental 'can-do' attitude
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with parents, teachers, and external healthcare professionals
Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
