Use your experience in mentorship and emotional intelligence to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is more than a 'job'-it is a foundation for a career in Educational Psychology, Social Work, or Teaching. Your Gateway to a Specialist Career For many young people, traditional classrooms feel out of reach. As an SEMH Behaviour Mentor, you aren't just managing conduct; you are decoding the 'why' behind the behaviour. We are looking for resilient individuals-from Psychology graduates to ex-Sports Coaches want to gain high-level experience in a specialist SEN (Special Educational Needs) environment. Career Progression: Perfect for those seeking hours for a Doctorate in Educational Psychology or a PGCE. Specialist CPD (2026): Gain certified training in Trauma-Informed Practice, Team-Teach (De-escalation), and Mental Health First Aid. Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates (£90 - £95) paid via Randstad with no 'umbrella company' hidden fees. Supportive Community: Work alongside SENCOs and Speech & Language Therapists in a resource-rich, collaborative hub. The Role: Mentoring with Purpose In this full-time role, you will act as a 1:1 specialist for students with ADHD, ASD, and Attachment Disorders. Build Therapeutic Alliances: Use a 'Relational Approach' to build trust with students who have disengaged from learning. Behaviour Intervention: Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and help pupils manage emotional triggers. Small Group Support: Facilitate 'Nurture Groups' focusing on social skills, resilience, and emotional literacy. Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed logs on student engagement to support EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) reviews.
