Powerleague is on the lookout for enthusiastic 5- & 7-a-side Referees to join us on a self-employed basis. Enjoy flexible hours across evenings and weekends while being part of the UK’s leading small-sided football experience. As a Powerleague Referee, you’ll play a key part in delivering outstanding league nights. You’ll be at the heart of the action—ensuring games run smoothly, fairly, and with brilliant customer experience at every stage.

Job Responsibility:

  • Officiate multiple league games each shift to a high and consistent standard
  • Ensure fair play and a professional delivery of all matches
  • Provide exceptional, customer-first support—ensuring players leave the pitch having had a world-class experience
  • Manage equipment (bibs, balls, cones) and minimise stock loss
  • Handle general customer questions and match-day queries
  • Build rapport with teams to encourage long-term loyalty
  • Check the pitch and playing surface to ensure it meets health & safety requirements
  • Deliver basic first aid when needed and follow correct incident-reporting procedures
  • Accurately record and report match scores
