Job Description:

Day Lewis Pharmacy is looking for a reliable self-employed Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys flexibility, excellent customer service, and making a real difference for patients, including the housebound and those with additional support needs. You will start with one day a week, making 5–10 deliveries, with the potential to increase to 20–40 deliveries per week across multiple days as demand grows.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collect prescriptions from the pharmacy and deliver them safely to patients’ homes, nursing, and residential care facilities
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service and represent Day Lewis professionally
  • Complete all required paperwork to ensure a full audit trail
  • Occasionally pick up prescriptions from other local pharmacies
  • Respect patient confidentiality and adhere to Data Protection regulations
  • Follow all company procedures, health & safety protocols, and agreed delivery schedules

Requirements:

  • Must be self-employed and able to provide your own vehicle
  • Previous delivery experience is preferred but not essential
  • GPhC-accredited Delivery Driver course is an advantage, but not mandatory
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual
  • Friendly, approachable, and confident in dealing with patients
