We are recruiting self-employed advocates to provide independent and confidential advocacy on behalf of NYAS to children, young people and adults in a variety of settings across the Gwent region.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide independent and confidential advocacy on behalf of NYAS to children, young people and adults in a variety of settings
  • Enable them to ensure their voices are heard within decision-making processes that affect their lives
  • Listen to what they want
  • Inform them of their rights to get their wishes and feelings heard

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of direct work with children, young people or adults in a related setting
  • Must live within the geographical area (Gwent region)
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Willingness to complete accredited Advocacy training
  • Willingness to complete annual safeguarding and compliance training
  • Subject to enhanced DBS check, references and a Digital Risk Assessment
