Job Description

We are currently looking to add a Seizure Monitoring Technologist to our EEG Department located at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time Nights opportunity. As the Seizure Monitoring Technologist, you will provide a 24-hour visual monitoring, and subsequent intervention when indicated, of seizure patients in the Neuro ICU and EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) via remote video system. You will also maintain components of the monitoring system and communicate with staff and members of the Comprehesive Epilepsy team assigned to a patient regarding the patient's seizure status. At Baptist, we specialize in advanced neurodiagnostic care, offering innovative technology and services such as long-term epilepsy monitoring, intraoperative neuromonitoring, and epilepsy surgical support.

Job Responsibility

  • Provides a 24-hour visual monitoring, and subsequent intervention when indicated, of seizure patients in the Neuro ICU and EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) via remote video system
  • Maintains components of the monitoring system and communicates with staff and members of the Comprehensive Epilepsy team assigned to a patient regarding the patient's seizure status
  • Monitoring in-patient Video EEG for an uninterrupted, clean recording
  • Maintains expertise in clinical and electrical seizure identification, management and documentation
  • Reports to the Baptist Neurology Neurodiagnostic Manager and is a member of the multidisciplinary team caring for patients with epilepsy

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • One-Two Years LTM/EEG Monitoring Required
  • Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET) Required

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Registered in Continuous Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) Preferred
