Security Vetting & Trade Controls Support Officer

• Assisting with BPSS, SC, and DV applications, including pre-employment checks and identity verification
• Managing correspondence with applicants and UKSV, ensuring smooth, timely processes
• Maintaining accurate vetting, personnel security, and asset records
• Supporting security awareness initiatives and briefings for staff and contractors
• Helping manage controlled asset movements, secure storage, and compliance audits
• Supporting export control compliance, licence applications, and monitoring of controlled items
• Acting as Deputy Security Controller when required

• Proven experience in a security-sensitive, compliance, HR admin, or case-handling role
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Excellent communication and stakeholder support skills
• High attention to detail and a commitment to handling sensitive information with discretion
• SC security clearance (or ability to obtain)
• High School Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and related experience
• FSO Certification required

Familiarity with personnel vetting, export controls, or MOD/GOVs007 compliance is a plus
