Job Description

We are seeking experienced Casual Retail Security Officers who can demonstrate excellent customer service skills and are passionate about the security industry with a strong desire to make a difference. This position is to commence ASAP and is based at Green Hills.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing security service at Green Hills, supporting all the establishments' tenants, guests and visitors
  • Building key tenant familiarisation and relationships
  • Managing access
  • Responding in a timely manner to client requests
  • Ensuring the safety and security for the site
  • Managing emergency situations
  • Demonstrated pro-active security awareness

Requirements

  • Current NSW Full Security Licence, including crowd control where applicable
  • Apply First Aid Certificate & Provide a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
  • Conflict Resolution & De-escalation with an ability to manage aggressive & disruptive behaviour
  • Excellent observation skills
  • Incident reporting
  • Be able to work independently & within a team
  • Customer Service experience - Being polite, helpful & approachable
  • Professionalism & reliability
  • Team work & communication
  • Computer literacy
  • Confident interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • The confidence and ability to take ownership of the service delivery which comes under your control
  • The ability to complete reports using various platforms
  • Excellent presentation, well-groomed and corporate-appropriate
  • High-level problem-solving skills
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations
  • Valid work rights in Australia
  • Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours
  • Availability across 7 days/nights

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in Retail Security is welcomed but not essential
  • Experience in retail or shopping centre security
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems or control room operations - desirable
  • Familiarity with trespass laws, shoplifting protocols - desirable
