Job Description:

Aramark Facilities Management is seeking a Security Systems Technician to install, maintain, and service CCTV and access control systems across commercial and campus environments. This is a hands-on field role responsible for ensuring surveillance and access systems are fully operational, secure, and compliant. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who can work independently, troubleshoot issues, and deliver reliable system performance across multiple sites.

Job Responsibility:

  • Installation & System Setup: Install and configure CCTV systems (IP and analog cameras, NVRs/DVRs), Install and service access control systems (card readers, controllers, keypads, mag locks, electric strikes), Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6, fiber, coaxial)
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues across security systems, Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance, Respond to service calls and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • System Programming & Integration: Program and manage access control systems, user credentials, and permissions, Support network integration including switches, routers, and PoE systems, Partner with IT teams on connectivity and basic cybersecurity practices
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure systems meet local, state, and federal codes and licensing requirements, Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation

Requirements:

  • Active Low Voltage / Alarm Systems License (NC DPS)
  • Electrical License (SP-LV or higher)
  • 3–5+ years of experience with CCTV and access control systems
  • Experience with platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Honeywell, Avigilon, or similar
  • Working knowledge of IP networking (switches, routers, PoE)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites

Nice to have:

  • Manufacturer certifications (Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.)
  • Experience in commercial, government, or campus environments
  • OSHA or safety certifications
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles for security systems
