Job Description

Robert Half Technology is seeking a Security Systems Engineer to support and maintain physical security systems across multiple locations throughout Idaho. This is a long-term contract opportunity for a professional experienced with access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and security infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and related security technologies. While much of the work can be performed remotely, candidates must be local to Idaho and available to travel onsite as needed, potentially several times per month.

Job Responsibility

  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)
  • Support electronic locks, card readers, control panels, doors, and related security infrastructure
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), cameras, recording platforms, and monitoring systems
  • Support Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), perimeter security devices, gates, barriers, and related technologies
  • Perform inspections, testing, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Install firmware updates, software patches, and system upgrades
  • Perform system backups and support restoration activities
  • Identify hardware and software issues and provide repair or replacement recommendations
  • Respond to scheduled, priority, and emergency service requests
  • Document maintenance activities, findings, and recommendations
