The Security Supervisor plays a leadership role in the Security Department, overseeing the team of officers, ensuring the safety and security of the resort for all guests and associates. This individual is very involved in day-to-day operations, enforcing all safety and security procedures in accordance with hotel guidelines and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The Security Supervisor will interact with all departments to train in emergency procedures, assisting with routine drills to educate and prepare all associates on their roles during emergencies.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure that policies and procedures are enforced
Ensure that property/facilities are energy efficient (conserving energy)
Ensure/maintain key control
Maintain current CPR certification
Maintain work area clean and organized
Make safety and security patrols of property and facility. In a timely manner, report to management any unusual observations
Protect guests and employees from harm and prevent theft and/or destruction of property
Report all unsafe conditions immediately
Write shift reports and security incident reports
Process and log lost and found articles
Confront guests and employees involved in unsafe/illegal acts
Investigate/handle complaints, incidences, accidents, and emergencies
Monitor equipment
Perform life-saving functions as required (CPR/first aid)
Requirements:
High School Diploma
3+ years of experience in the security field, preferably in the hospitality industry
Previous supervisory/management experience
Relevant certifications, including CPR and Life Safety
Fluent in English
ability to write reports and interact with resort guests and associates
Computer proficiency to complete security reports and be familiar with hotel PMS & POS systems
