The Security Supervisor plays a vital role in leading and coordinating the hotel’s security team, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed to protect guests, staff, and property. This position oversees surveillance systems, conducts regular patrols, and responds efficiently and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and alarms. The Supervisor also trains and mentors the employees, fostering a strong culture of safety and vigilance. Close collaboration with local authorities and emergency services is essential, as well as strong leadership, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a high level of discretion and professionalism.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the security team, ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are followed to protect guests, staff, and property
Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent and address security issues
Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, coordinating appropriate action and reporting findings
Train and mentor security personnel, promoting a culture of safety and vigilance
Collaborate with local authorities and emergency services as needed to ensure a safe environment
Requirements:
Extensive security experience: Proven background in security operations, preferably in hospitality or luxury settings, with knowledge of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management
Strong leadership skills: Ability to manage and lead a team of security personnel, providing clear direction, training, and ongoing support
Crisis management and quick decision-making: Experience in handling emergencies, maintaining calm under pressure, and making swift, effective decisions to ensure guest and staff safety
Knowledge of security systems and technology: Familiarity with surveillance systems, alarm systems, and access control technologies, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and monitor these systems
Attention to detail: A keen eye for identifying potential security risks, vulnerabilities, or suspicious activities, and taking preventative action where necessary
Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate security procedures and policies to both staff and guests, and to collaborate with other departments to ensure safety across the property
Conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities: Skilled at managing challenging situations with guests or employees in a calm, professional, and non-confrontational manner
Knowledge of local laws and regulations: Understanding of relevant legal requirements and regulations related to security, health, and safety, and ensuring compliance
Physical fitness and stamina: Ability to conduct patrols, respond to incidents quickly, and perform duties that may involve physical demands
Discretion and professionalism: Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times, particularly in sensitive or high-stress situations
