THIS IS A PERFECT FIT for someone who wants to be in a Security Architect LONG-TERM & slowly help to modernize security practices on a small architect team. You will be the Sole Security focused Architect! Financial Services who is in acquisition mode!

Job Responsibility:

  • Build secure, scalable architectures for cloud, apps, & infrastructure – working hands-on with modern tools like Azure, Google Cloud, microservices, APIs and service bus
  • Turn business needs into actionable designs to drive secure integrations & risk mitigation
  • Lead road mapping, solution design, threat modelling, documentation – making sure security is woven in
  • Act as a bridge between technical, security, and non-technical stakeholders, translating cybersecurity concepts and controls
  • Help shape standards, governance & best practices, collaborating on upgrade & integration of hybrid (cloud/on-prem) systems
  • Build architecture, and helping Role
  • Help us mature our architectural approach, boost security

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree / equivalent experience in IT, engineering, cybersecurity or related
  • 3-5 years’ experience in tech + security architecture/design, with a focus on infrastructure or security domains
  • Hands-on experience in cloud native, DevOps, and secure integration patterns
  • Security certifications (like CISSP, CCSP, CISM)
  • Experience across technology and security, especially integrating solution & securing cloud-native environments
  • Tech expertise in infrastructure or networking is valued
  • Financial services experience
  • Proficiency with threat modeling, Visio diagrams, secure SDLC (Agile, DevOps), and authentication/data transfer
  • Transparent communication with a practical approach
  • Hands-on expertise in Azure-native environments, DevOps practices, and secure integration
  • Strong knowledge of threat modeling, authentication mechanisms, and secure data transfer protocols
  • Familiarity with financial services environments is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation and governance standards
