This role creates new sales opportunities and converts them to profitable revenue within the assigned target markets. Proactively review existing accounts to ensure we are maximizing our opportunity to retain the customer. This position will also identify and sell additional systems and services that will assist the customer in meeting their life safety and security needs.
Job Responsibility:
Meet and exceed mutually established sales goals
Identify and develop new sales opportunities with potential clients
Apply knowledge of Life Safety 101 and NFPA standards to analyze hazards and prepare cost estimates
Contact, qualify and pursue leads for new and assigned account business opportunities
Establish a broad client and prospect base and promote all products and services
Build long-term advisory relationships with multiple clients
Develop and implement a competitive sales strategy
Preparation and delivery of customer proposals and presentations
Generate necessary reports and complete administrative duties
Effectively manage CRM activity
Observe and enforce company policies and procedures
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred
3 - 5 years of successful outside sales experience selling Life Safety and Fire Protection solutions
Exceptional CRM management skills
Proven sales track record and thorough understanding of the sales process
Proven ability to build customer relationships through consultative selling
Familiar with reading and understanding construction documents
Must be familiar with NFPA standards and local codes
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) including presentation and negotiation skills
Strong pipeline-creation and prospecting ability
Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment
Show self-motivation and ability to take direction and receive feedback
