The Security and Parking Manager oversees daily and event operations of the security and parking departments for ONT-Field and Ontario Venues. The role ensures a safe, secure, and organized environment for guests, clients, talent, partners, staff, and assets while managing parking logistics, staffing, revenue reporting, and policy compliance. This position requires a strong leader who can enforce policies, enhance customer service, manage personnel, and work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and extended event hours.
Job Responsibility:
Oversees daily and event operations of the security and parking departments for ONT-Field and Ontario Venues.
Ensures a safe, secure, and organized environment for guests, clients, talent, partners, staff, and assets.
Manages parking logistics, staffing, revenue reporting, and policy compliance.
Directly supervises Legends Global security staff and ensures the highest level of safety and guest service.
Plans staffing requirements based on event needs, crowds, talent, risk assessments, and building operations.
Supports and enforces security policies, emergency procedures, staffing guidelines, and standard operating practices.
Acts as liaison with law enforcement, fire department, first responders, and regulatory agencies.
Handles high-priority, sensitive, or emergency incidents personally or through designated leadership.
Oversees employee performance, corrective action, hiring, training, coaching, evaluations, and professional development.
Manages incident documentation, reporting, Lost & Found procedures, and guest complaint resolution.
Assists in development and monitoring of security budget and financial controls.
Oversees event and daily parking operations for guests, talent, VIP, staff, contractors, and special visitors.
Plans staffing needs based on event schedules and operational demands.
Produces and updates parking maps, credentials, passes, signage, and daily instructions for staff.
Coordinates reserved parking, billing, permits, and special access requirements.
Ensures point-of-sale compliance, daily sales reporting, and month-end financial reconciliation with accounting.
Manages parking inventory, barricades, equipment, paid parking tools, and Smart Maintenance Program updates.
Ensures all parking areas, docks, storage spaces, and exterior grounds are clean, secure, and properly maintained.
Delegate event coordination responsibilities and communicate event assignment information to Toyota Arena and ONT Field staff.
Maintains safety standards, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance with all venue and legal guidelines.
Works collaboratively with the Director of Security and Sr. Security/Parking Manager on policies, budgets, scheduling, projects, and performance issues.
Leads department meetings, participates in venue operations briefings, and attends event planning sessions.
Supports training in emergency response, customer service, parking operations, access control, and crowd management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Associate degree in law enforcement or related field
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience in event security or parking operations OR Minimum five (5) years successful supervisory experience in security, law enforcement, parking operations, or related discipline.
Valid California Guard Card (required)
Knowledge of crowd management, incident response, access control, hazard mitigation, and safety protocols.
Knowledge of parking systems, point-of-sale operations, billing processes, credentialing, and event logistics.
Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal laws affecting security and parking operations.
Knowledge of budget monitoring, staff scheduling, documentation, and operational planning.
Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing.
Ability to lead, coach, discipline, and motivate teams.
Ability to de-escalate conflicts and handle sensitive incidents professionally.
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet stringent event deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, professionalism, and fairness.
Skills in use of computers, radios, POS systems, and communication tools.
Skills in operation of motor vehicles and parking/security equipment.
Physical ability to push and pull doors open, lift, stoop, bend and lift at least 50 lbs.
Physical ability to walk for long distances and stand for up to 95% of workday.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
Must be able to pass background.
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree or graduation from accredited law enforcement academy.
Experience managing a large public assembly facility (arena, stadium, convention center, etc.).
