Job Description

The Security Operations Manager will oversee the operations of the Sovereign Security Operations Centre, managing a team and ensuring high availability for premium clients. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in SOC operations and strong leadership skills. The role involves strategic oversight, incident response, and navigating complex regulatory environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage a team of skilled analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Client-Facing Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment between security operations and business priorities
  • Drive Operational Performance: Oversee service delivery, incident response, and operational efficiency within established frameworks
  • Strategic Oversight: Balance hands-on technical engagement with high-level planning to maintain a robust security posture
  • Innovate Under Pressure: Navigate complex threat landscapes and regulatory requirements while ensuring high availability of services

Requirements

  • 5 years + experience in SOC operations, incident response, and security frameworks
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage people, process, and technology
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities for client engagement
  • Comfort operating in environments where every decision matters
  • Need to be SC eligible - been living in the UK for the past 4 years consistently, not been outside for more than 6 months
