Job Description:

Allied Universal is hiring Security Operations Center Officers to oversee a Corporate Building in the Columbus Circle of Manhattan. As a Security Operations Center Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter
  • Monitor closed circuit television systems and alarms
  • Monitor and operate facility computers systems regularly, as assigned
  • Handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately
  • Contact Emergency Services, such as EMT, Fire Dept., etc
  • Analyze security data, incident reports, and trends to identify vulnerabilities or risks
  • Conduct threat assessments and provide actionable intelligence to leadership
  • Respond to and document security incidents, ensuring proper escalation when necessary
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and internal stakeholders during incidents
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security reports for management
  • Support investigations through evidence collection, documentation, and analysis
  • Conduct audits of security systems and recommend improvements
  • Assist in training security personnel on protocols and emergency response procedures

Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
  • SOC Operator experience
  • Minimum of two years of security experience
  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of systems such as Lenel and C-Cure

  • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies
  • Familiarity with emergency management protocols
  • Advanced report writing and briefing skills
