Job Description:

We are looking for a Security Onboarding Specialist to guide customers through the implementation of security monitoring and detection solutions. This is ideal for security engineers with the ability to lead structured, client-facing onboarding engagements. The role focuses on configuring integrations, validating data visibility, and helping customers reach a successful production launch while clearly explaining technical concepts to mixed technical audiences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding engagements from initial kickoff through configuration, validation, and go-live for security platform implementations
  • Conduct customer-facing onboarding meetings and workshops, typically lasting 60 to 90 minutes, to keep projects organized and moving forward
  • Configure and validate log ingestion, data normalization, alerting logic, correlation setup, and dashboard visibility within security monitoring environments
  • Support the deployment of managed detection and response capabilities by guiding alert handling processes, escalation paths, and response workflow alignment
  • Integrate cloud-based security data sources, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Defender, and audit log telemetry, into target platforms
  • Manage onboarding activities across multi-tenant environments and delegated access models while maintaining consistency with established delivery standards
  • Assist customers with migration-oriented onboarding efforts when transitioning telemetry and monitoring coverage from an existing platform to a new solution
  • Explain security concepts and platform capabilities in a practical, accessible way for customers with varying levels of technical expertise
  • Follow standardized onboarding frameworks and delivery models to ensure efficient implementations without unnecessary customization
  • Document onboarding progress, configuration outcomes, and validation results to support a smooth production rollout

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented experience in cybersecurity onboarding, deployment, or implementation roles focused on security platforms rather than general support
  • Working knowledge of SIEM or MDR technologies, including areas such as log collection, alerting, correlation, dashboards, and incident triage
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft security ecosystems, especially Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365 security integrations, and audit logging
  • Familiarity with SaaS telemetry ingestion and cloud security data integration practices
  • Experience with security platforms such as Kaseya solutions, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm, Sumo Logic, Huntress, Arctic Wolf, Secureworks, or Rapid7
  • Ability to lead structured onboarding programs and facilitate customer sessions in a clear, detail-oriented manner
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical security topics for semi-technical customer audiences
  • Experience supporting platform transition or migration projects involving movement from one SIEM or MDR environment to another
