Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Flex Part Time in Utica. MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, and innovative.

Job Responsibility:

Provide customer service to all visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location
Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as directed
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions
Control access through designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization for entry, and directing deliveries and service vendors according to site procedures
Complete routine reports such as shift logs, incident reports, and patrol activity reports, using required systems and maintaining clear communication with site personnel and/or dispatch

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
