Security Officer

• Monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors
• Monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises
• Guard facility and unit access points
• Monitor surveillance cameras
• Test new security technology
• Protect all employees/visitors against acts of violence
• Respond to emergency codes in a timely manner
• Respond to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner
• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle
• Monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed
• Report unsafe acts or conditions
• Report HIPAA breaches if witnessed
• Investigate security breaches, conducts investigations, and writes incident reports
• Ensure that all activities are logged
• Ensure incident reports are accurately completed, clear, concise, legible, and submitted in a timely manner
• Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers while knowing hospital campus to ensure that dispatches are to write location.

• High School Graduate or equivalent and Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting, upon hire
• Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting
• One (1) year experience as a security officer
• Driver's License: NE, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days

Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.
