Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Part Time Weekends in Utica, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and provide strong customer service through clear communication with employees, visitors, and partners. Job Responsibility:

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, equipment areas, and perimeter gates to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns
Monitor access points and control entry for employees, contractors, and deliveries by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining access logs in accordance with site policy
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, coordinating with site operations, and contacting public emergency services when needed
Complete routine reports and documentation such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate observations promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
This is a primarily driving post.
