There may also be a need to become a fire marshal and first aider if applicable all training will be provided; All Assignment Instructions / Operations Manual or Standard Operating Procedures are to be reviewed, understood, and followed; Embrace and deliver the bespoke training requirements, specific to contractual obligation or regulation; Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard; Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA or other relevant regulations; To complete any other reasonable task as instructed by your line manager or other Senior Manager, either UniTrust or at the request of the Client and/or tenants; To support internal and external audit processes from UniTrust Security representatives, Client/Tenant Representatives, the SIA, any other relevant body with a relevant interest and valid reason for inspection or compliance checks; To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant, and ethical manner; To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, always dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach; Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people, and challenges; Assist in the induction, development, or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate; Act in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and our Code of Conduct SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Welcome and assist staff, clients, tenants, and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey; Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site; Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises, or property, escalating where appropriate to do so; Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and able to assist staff, clients, tenants, and visitors with their queries; Develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff, visitors, tenants, service providers and clients; Have good knowledge of the local area to be able to answer queries regarding local transport links or services in the area for example; Ensure the security of people, premises, and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout; Respond to alarms; Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all; Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required; Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary; Carry out proactive patrols, internal & external, as directed by assignment instructions

Requirements

  • Valid SIA license
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Ability to complete five year work history security vetting according to BS 7858:2019

Create a detailed written report of your investigation
  • Observe persons on premises who abuse hotel facilities, intrude into restricted areas, disturb or intrude upon the privacy of guests. Initiate action to remove such individual(s) from the premises
  • Thorough knowledge of hotel's emergency fire, bomb threat, first aid, and tornado procedures and evacuation plan
  • Maintain a detailed log book and activity sheet entries
