Security Officer

• Assist hotel team with responsibility to ensure the protection of guests, patrons and associates
• their property, hotel property, building and grounds
• Enforce hotel rules, regulations and policies as well as the departments rules, policies and standards
• Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the hotel to reduce accidents and loss by providing training as required
• Respond to all emergency calls including Emergency Response team calls
• Patrol building noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards
• Able walk/run upstairs carrying a fire extinguisher
• Share duties in Operations Center with emergency and department phone monitoring, closed circuit television monitoring, alarm monitoring, vendor/solicitor/visitor access, and key control
• Assist with Worker’s Compensation, complete reports, and maintain a health and safety log
• Write comprehensive incident reports and conduct thorough investigations
• Maintain report records, assist and follow-up on investigations, and approve reports and logs
• Promote loss prevention through training and awareness throughout the building to reduce claims

• At least 2 years of security detail experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
• Compliance with Grooming Standards
• CPR and First-Aid certification
• Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that requires professionalism and the ability to exercise discretion with privileged information
• Ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
• Valid U.S. work authorization documents

Knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Office Suite, and HotSOS
