Monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors. Monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises. Security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise.

Respond to emergency codes
Respond to calls for assistance (violent/unruly patients/visitors, crimes, emergency codes, door openings)
Report unsafe acts or conditions
Report HIPAA breaches if witnessed
Investigate security breaches
Conduct investigations
Write incident reports
Ensure all activities are logged
Ensure incident reports are accurately completed, clear, concise, legible, and submitted timely
Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching
Know hospital campus to ensure dispatches are to correct location
Keep organization’s mission, vision and values at forefront of decision making
Demonstrate professional/technical skills and capabilities
Interact with others in a way that gives confidence
Adhere to uniform dress code
Keep employee ID badge visible at all times on duty
Requirements:
High School Graduate General Studies and less than 1 year Six (6) months experience as security officer in a health care setting, upon hire (Preferred)
Driver's License: NE, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days
