Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security & safety of T-Mobile Center guests, employees, vendors, and assets through constant patrol, observation, and documentation. The Officer will also assist local public safety agencies as needed to accomplish the safety and security goals of T-Mobile Center. This position will be the first point of contact for all security-related issues and will control the diffusion of incidents at the venue. The Security Officer will also assist with customer service requests.
Job Responsibility:
Interact with patrons, vendors, and employees courteously and professionally, and comply with all legal and ethical instructions from the security management team
Ensure enforcement and compliance of T-Mobile Center’s event policies and respond to all security & safety-related calls in a timely and professional manner
Observe, report, and control ongoing activity while tracking unusual occurrences. Logging all activity, movement, and repairs in the appropriate log, ensuring all incidents are accurately documented
Screen and confirm all employees, vendors, delivery personnel, guests and artists entering the venue to ensure appropriate access. Review and verify documentation to ensure validity
Provide customer service needs before, during and after each show, including directions, instructions, information, escorts and medical
Responds to security and safety calls promptly. Stand post and conduct patrols of the facility, search guest bags, prevent prohibited items from entering the facility, investigate & compile incidents accurately, and screen guests with metal detectors, wands and pat down procedures

Requirements:
A minimum education level of a high School Diploma or its equivalent
Minimum years of related work experience: 1+ years
Strong and effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication in English
A basic understanding of the rule of law and relevant penal codes about safety/security: public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and trespassing
Must be able to obtain and maintain a commission license
Ability to represent the Security Department in an exemplary manner
Ability to maintain effective business relations with employees at all levels
Ability to effectively perform in crises and work under pressure without the loss of composure
Sound judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to memorize, recollect, and quickly retrieve relevant information
Ability to interact effectively and calmly with angry or emotional guests and employees during intensely aggravated circumstances
Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality
Ability to remain in a stationary position or move about the venue 90% of the time and communicate and observe continuously
Able to stand/sit, and walk and navigate about the venue, including up/down stairs for long periods
Ability to move materials and equipment up to 45 lbs.
