This position is primarily Friday and Saturday nights from 11pm to 7am. The purpose of this job is to perform the duties of Security Officer in accordance with company standards for satisfactory performance.
Job Responsibility:
Patrols hotel premises to maintain order, enforce regulations, and ensure observance of applicable laws
Patrols lobbies, corridors, guest rooms, and other hotel areas, confers with management, interviews guests and employees
Interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalisms, accidents, illness, violations of policies, and any other loss related event
Patrols hotel areas to detect/report and/or control fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment
Warns or ejects troublemakers, and cautions careless persons
Responds to, controls, provides and obtains assistance for victims of accidents and/or illness
Notifies staff of presence of persons with questionable reputations
Assists management and law enforcement officers in emergency situations
Controls all situations in a calm, professional, and hospitable manner
Completes daily logs and incident reports
Follows lost and found procedures
Conducts daily key inventories and reports and variances
Responds to alarm notifications
Assists with emergency/evacuation training and processes
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
prior hospitality/purchasing experience preferred
at least one year customer service experience preferred
2 years Security or Police (military or civilian) experience, preferably with exposure to the hotel environment
2 years of college in a safety, security or hospitality related discipline
able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays
First Aid/CPR certification, prefer instructor rating
high quality written and oral communication skills
Nice to have:
prior hospitality/purchasing experience preferred
at least one year customer service experience preferred
