Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Flex Utility Company in Petersburg, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols, primarily through driving, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the premises. You will interact with personnel and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication.

Job Responsibility:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify any unusual activity
Monitor access points and report any unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior
Document and communicate incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to site protocols
Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as required during incidents or emergencies

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
