The Security Officer – Welcome Center is responsible for providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all guests, residents, and associates entering Saddlebrook Resort. This position serves as the first point of contact at the property’s Welcome Center, ensuring all visitors are properly greeted, screened, and directed while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the initial point of contact for all guests, residents, and vendors arriving at the resort
Verify credentials and issue visitor or vehicle passes as appropriate
Monitor and control vehicular and pedestrian access through the Welcome Center in accordance with established security protocols
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while providing directions, assistance, and resort information
Conduct routine patrols of assigned zones, including resort grounds and residential areas, to ensure property safety and compliance with rules and regulations
Document and report all incidents, accidents, or suspicious activity promptly and accurately
Complete detailed written reports and attach photos when necessary to support investigations
Assist with emergency response efforts, including fire alarms, medical calls, or security alerts
Enforce resort policies, procedures, and code of conduct in a respectful and consistent manner
Communicate effectively via radio and in person with other officers, departments, and management
Support traffic control, parking, and special event operations as directed
Represent Saddlebrook Resort professionally and uphold its Game Changer culture of excellence and guest service
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of security, law enforcement, or hospitality experience preferred
Valid Florida Class D Security License required (or ability to obtain)
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Nice to have:
Prior hospitality/purchasing experience preferred
At least one year customer service experience preferred
2 years Security or Police (military or civilian) experience, preferably with exposure to the hotel environment
2 years of college in a safety, security or hospitality related discipline
First Aid/CPR certification, prefer instructor rating
High quality written and oral communication skills
