As a Security Officer - Shipping Company in Lake Orion, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication and teamwork. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing truck driver check-in and/or check-out, and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to site requirements
  • Monitor gates, dock areas, and common access points to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or damage, and report irregular activity per post orders
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or public services as required and documenting actions taken
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter, noting hazards, access issues, and security-related concerns and completing required reports and logs

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience - preferred
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred
  • Loss Prevention - preferred
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
