Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Retail Rover Driver in Aiea, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrol coverage as needed. You will deliver customer-focused service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disruptive behavior, and property concerns
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, service corridors, loading zones, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity
  • Monitor entrances, storefront areas, and back-of-house access points, greeting guests and assisting with directions and/or wayfinding as needed
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance hazards, promptly notifying site leadership and/or local responders when appropriate
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift notes, using Allied Universal reporting procedures and site-required documentation
  • Support loss prevention and tenant partners by reporting shoplifting indicators and disturbances while maintaining a customer-focused presence
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems when assigned, escalating concerns according to post orders
  • Assist with crowd management during peak shopping periods and special events, helping to maintain orderly lines and traffic flow
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel during response activities, preserving scene information and following site direction

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
