Job Description

This position shall be responsible for security services with emphasis on service to events, ASM Global employees and general security issues within each ASM Global-managed facility. Additional duties may be responsible for the development and implementation of operational policies and security-related procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Locks and unlocks facility doors
  • Conducts routine property walks
  • Responds to emergency situations
  • Secures the safety of all individuals on the premises
  • Appropriately deals with 'unruly' people
  • Works with local Fire and Police Departments to secure off-duty details
  • Works independently and judges and assesses situations for immediate response
  • Secures property during the move in/out of trade shows, conventions or events

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • some college preferred
  • Minimum 2 years security guard experience, preferably in similar environment
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required
  • ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
  • Ability to work irregular hours including, night shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
  • Some computer knowledge
  • Considerable amount of walking, climbing, stooping and possibly heavy lifting
  • Position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • May be subjected to adverse conditions, including physical contact from hostile people
