Job Description

As a Security Officer GSOC Operator in Portage, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values through teamwork and integrity.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and sharing information with site contacts when needed
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions
  • Monitor access points and visitor movement, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols
  • Support day-to-day operations by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with security-related concerns while maintaining a courteous presence throughout the location

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
