Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Evening Patrol Driver in Aiea, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will document activity and support the team using site technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail property
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or property concerns
  • Monitor access points and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and local responders as needed
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate notable updates to site leadership and incoming officers
  • Help to maintain orderly conditions by providing direction, de-escalating disturbances when possible, and supporting retail loss prevention and crowd management during peak traffic and special events

Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
