As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and guest access, and monitor entry points and surrounding areas to help identify and help deter security-related concerns. You will communicate clearly with site teams, document activity, and provide a customer-service mindset while supporting an agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture grounded in integrity and teamwork.
Job Responsibility:
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology campus or data center location
Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to the proper destination
Monitor and respond to access control alarms, door and gate issues, and other security-related notifications, escalating concerns per post orders and documenting actions taken
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, medical response coordination, and/or contacting local emergency services as needed
Complete reports and maintain accurate records of visitor activity, access authorizations, incident details, and shift turnover information using written logs and/or electronic systems
Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
