Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Desk in Lake Orion, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and facility personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials, and supporting security-related protocols at the location
  • Monitor entry and exit points for the distribution facility, document arrivals and departures, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, loading zones, and operational spaces
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate communication channels and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points, trailer lots, parking areas, and warehouse surroundings, with working environments and conditions varying by location
  • Prepare clear logs and reports related to access activity, visitor management, and unusual observations, and communicate relevant details to Allied Universal leaders and/or site contacts

Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
