Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Corporate Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine foot patrols across campus areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls. You will greet students, faculty, staff, and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and calm professionalism.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service to clients at an educational location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with campus staff and/or local first responders as directed
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes, with working environments and conditions varying by assignment
  • Monitor access points and interior areas for unusual activity, provide directions and assistance to students, staff, and visitors, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to the site contact and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support security-related checks such as door and alarm status as assigned

Requirements:

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
