Job Description:

As a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will manage access control, monitor entry points, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will help to deter incidents, assist authorized visitors and staff, and contribute to a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, and reliable, innovative service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, delivery zones, and/or sensitive workspaces
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts as needed
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, lobby areas, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions and report security-related concerns
  • Support badge administration, visitor registration, and/or employee screening processes while maintaining professional interactions with staff, guests, and vendors

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
