Job Description

The Security Officer reports to the Director of Security. Under general supervision, the Security Officer monitors and provides protection and security for facilities, premises, employees, patients and visitors. This position responds to security calls within the medical center and conducts basic investigations as well as troubleshooting the electronic visitor management system. Skills needed include the ability to physically patrol the perimeter of the medical center and parking lot, as well as ability to communicate tactfully with the public. Knowledge of methods of security in buildings and grounds institutions is preferred, and this position involves shift work and some overtime.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • At least 1 year's experience in Security or equivalent job functions is preferred but not required
