The Security Officer II is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and company assets by following established security procedures and protocols. This role includes monitoring facility access, operating surveillance and alarm systems, and conducting incident response through routine foot and/or vehicle patrols. The officer will document shift activities, manage visitor logs, and work with external monitoring partners to resolve security alerts. This position requires flexibility to serve in multiple security functions, including entry control, patrol operations, safety inspections, and emergency response. The Security Officer II helps maintain a secure environment by preventing unauthorized access and ensuring adherence to all safety and compliance regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor and operate surveillance, access control, and alarm systems during assigned shifts
Conduct foot or vehicle patrols to identify and respond to security or safety concerns
Respond to minor incidents and escalate situations based on established protocols
Perform routine safety and facility inspections and support emergency response procedures
Maintain accurate documentation of shift activities, incidents, and visitor management logs
Collaborate with external monitoring services to investigate and resolve security alerts
Requirements:
Working knowledge of access control systems, surveillance equipment, and alarm monitoring tools
Ability to respond effectively to incidents and produce accurate, timely documentation
Strong attention to detail with the ability to enforce entry and identification procedures
Solid communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations
Ability to work independently while contributing to overall team operations
Typically requires a minimum of 1–2 years of related security, military, or law enforcement experience
Additional certifications in security operations, emergency response, or related fields are a plus
