Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in aviation security or airport operations
Strong understanding of airport security protocols and regulatory compliance
High level of professionalism, observation skills, and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to manage customer interactions calmly and professionally
Ability to follow procedures under pressure and in dynamic environments
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
NSW Security Licence (1A minimum)
ASIC (preferred) or eligibility to obtain
Cert II in Transport Security Protection (highly regarded)

Job Responsibility

Perform patrols of terminal, perimeter, and airside/landside locations
Control and monitor access points in accordance with airport security protocols and stringent regulatory requirements
Operate surveillance, alarm, and communications systems from the control room
Conduct ID and vehicle checks at gates and other critical points
Respond to security incidents and escalate as required under SOPs
Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation
Collaborate with airport stakeholders, law enforcement, and emergency services

Job Responsibility

Partners with Security Supervisor to monitor and arrange shift activities according to schedule requirements and staff availability. Establishes and coordinates work schedules and post coverage
Conduct bi-weekly 1 on 1 meetings with assigned shift team, document conversations in quip document. Will report performance and talent findings to leadership as directed
Communicating with Supervisors, Peers and Subordinates - Providing information by telephone, in written form, email, or in person
Responsible for reviewing and editing of incident reports on assigned shift prior to submittal with leadership
Conducts inspections of various security posts to ensure on-duty Security officers have required assigned equipment AB4, radios.
Ensure all officers are properly performing their assigned tasks
Ability to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods.
Maintains daily shift activity and incident log available to site supervisor
Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
Required to monitor facility fire suppression systems, intrusion systems, and use CCTV technology.

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity
Knowledge of Governance Risk and Compliance with at least one (1) year maintaining an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for a moderate or high-impact federal information system
Strong working knowledge with Federal policies, program standards, and NIST Special Publications guidelines

Support the maintenance of security documentation and support system ATO and ATT efforts
Conduct security control assessments and provide recommendations for remediation
Perform biweekly audit log and vulnerability scan reviews and track POA&M items
Collaborate with system owners and technical teams to manage risk and respond to incident
Support Ongoing Authorization (OA) and continuous monitoring activities
Prepare and brief senior leadership on system security posture and compliance metric
Ensure alignment with DOJ cybersecurity policies and NIST SP 800-53, 800-37, and 800-137
