Job Description:

As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Site in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with clients and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in every interaction.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation skills as needed
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and its perimeter, to help to deter potential incidents
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client protocols
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as required in the event of an incident
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and customers within the financial institution environment
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client protocols regarding the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required
  • An armed guard card or license is required
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
