This long-term contract position requires an individual with extensive Cisco expertise and strong attention to detail to optimize and secure wireless networks in an enterprise environment. The role is fully onsite and focuses on enhancing authentication protocols, access control systems, and identity-based networking solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the primary expert for Cisco ISE, including design, configuration, policy creation, and troubleshooting
Manage and improve 802.1X protocols, certificate-based authentication methods, and identity integration
Support and fine-tune Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Access Points (APs), and wireless network performance
Integrate Cisco ISE with Active Directory, certificates, and other network infrastructure components
Diagnose and resolve issues related to wireless access, authentication failures, and network segmentation
Develop and maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and operational procedures
Provide senior-level escalation support for complex wireless and Cisco ISE-related problems
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise network engineering
Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, including policy creation, authentication, and authorization
Proficiency with 802.1X protocols, Cisco ASA, and identity-based networking
Strong expertise in Cisco Wireless systems such as WLCs, APs, and Meraki
Experience integrating Cisco ISE with Active Directory and certificates
Must be willing to work fully onsite
Nice to have:
Background in manufacturing or industrial wireless environments is a plus
Familiarity with network segmentation and identity-based access systems is preferred
