This position is responsible for day-to-day network and computer security to protect casino assets. Plans, coordinates, implements, and monitors security measures to ensure the reliability, availability, and integrity of casino information systems. Possess a deep understanding of how information systems and communication equipment are utilized in the casino. Personnel are expected to exemplify superior guest service skills, work efficiently, ensure safety in all operations, and promote inter and intra department teamwork.
Job Responsibility:
Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network availability and performance
Manage network security measures, including implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems (IDS)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network architecture based on business requirements
Configure and maintain network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP
Perform system administration tasks related to network management, including user access control and system backups
Conduct regular network audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend necessary security enhancements
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to network administration
Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security
Act as the focal point for information and computer security matters
Implements security policy as directed
Monitor reports of computer viruses and ensure current anti-virus updates are applied
Maintain and monitor firewalls to protect internal casino information systems and the integrity of casino business
Monitor use of casino management system to safeguard information and ensure only authorized access
Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity, reliability, and availability of all server resources and systems to include review of logs
Possess an understanding of data flow within the casino management system and related systems
Perform daily security monitoring to identify intrusions or system misuse
Investigate and troubleshoot problems as escalated and assign appropriate priority to work
Apply software patches and upgrades on a regular basis
Document with pertinent data all work performed within the designated trouble-ticket system
Maintain a proactive guest service approach when working on the casino floor
Performs all duties in accordance with company team member handbook, internal policies, procedures, as well as applicable laws and gaming regulations
Maintains department log for visitor access
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required
6 years of systems administration or network administration experience
Guest Service experience preferred, however not required
Proven experience in network administration or a related field
Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and security measures
Experience with load balancing technologies and techniques
Familiarity with system administration tasks related to network management
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Knowledge of VPN (Virtual Private Network) technologies and configurations
Understanding of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for integrating network systems
Ability to analyze complex network issues and provide effective solutions
Knowledge of current computer technology, best practices, to include information management techniques
Read and understand technical information and draft technical documents to include instructions
Facilitate group discussions and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions
Extensive knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, and applications, most specifically Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
Have a working knowledge of operations and casino management system
Have a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet browsers, and HTML
Strong organizational and self-motivation skills and a proven track record for detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
Perform multiple technical tasks ranging from phone systems, audio systems, video systems, two-way radios, computers systems both hardware and software
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation
