Carex is partnering with a manufacturing industry partner to find a dynamic and experienced Security Manager to lead and enhance enterprise-wide cybersecurity efforts. This in-person role, located in Green Bay, WI, will be instrumental in driving a proactive and resilient security strategy across people, processes, and technology. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of technical leadership, operational discipline, and business acumen to reduce risk and embed a security-first culture throughout the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Define and execute a multi-year security roadmap aligned with business goals, risk tolerance, and compliance needs
Establish and report on meaningful security KPIs/OKRs, such as MTTR, exposure reduction, and audit resolution
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing security team while promoting a strong security mindset across IT and business units
Own and maintain enterprise-wide security policies, standards, and control baselines in alignment with frameworks like CIS and IEC62443
Conduct and manage risk assessments, vendor security reviews, control testing, and associated remediation or exception processes
Lead internal and external audit coordination and ensure timely remediation of findings
Oversee and govern a layered security architecture across endpoints, identity, email, network, and cloud environments
Manage SIEM/XDR operations, focusing on alert correlation, triage, and automated playbooks to reduce false positives and increase detection fidelity
Partner cross-functionally to integrate security into IT and business initiatives, including secure project design, segmentation, and code reviews
Direct the incident response lifecycle, including planning, detection, containment, analysis, eradication, and recovery
Manage vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation across infrastructure and applications
Monitor and act on relevant threat intelligence to proactively strengthen security posture
Oversee IAM governance, including access controls, JML processes, conditional access, and privileged account management
Implement and maintain robust data protection mechanisms including DLP, encryption, classification, and retention policies
Deliver engaging security awareness programs and measure their effectiveness through behavioral metrics
Serve as a consultative resource to business units regarding secure architecture, vendor risk, and operational trade-offs
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
7–10+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 3–5+ years in a leadership or program management role
Deep hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies, including SIEM/XDR, EDR, cloud, identity, email, and network security
Strong expertise in Microsoft security tools and platforms (e.g., Entra ID/Azure AD, Defender XDR, Sentinel, Intune)
Proficiency in governance, risk, and compliance functions including audits, risk assessments, and control design
Proven leadership in incident response, including forensics coordination and executive communications
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
