Job Description:

Gressingham Foods is seeking an experienced and proactive Security Manager to ensure the safety and security of our sites, employees, visitors, and assets across the business. This role works closely with internal departments to provide guidance and support to ensure effective security solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the security of all sites, employees, and visitors across the business
  • Responsibility for the onsite security guards
  • Investigate security incidents on and off site, including farms, internal investigations, and reported thefts
  • Carry out bi-weekly inspections of the Debach site (or as required)
  • Manage end-of-shift bus security, ensuring staff are transported safely and any issues are addressed
  • Provide CCTV support for parking and site security, ensuring authorised use of all parking areas
  • Manage the security team at Redgrave, including training, auditing paperwork, and ensuring duties are completed correctly
  • Act as a key point of contact for the security across all sites, providing guidance and advice
  • Review and improve security across farms and production sites in liaison with the Senior Management Team
  • Monitor and assess activist-related risks, keeping the business informed of relevant threats
  • Arrange and conduct bag and locker searches as required
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing as required, providing support to Health & Safety when needed
  • Carry out weekly perimeter checks at the Redgrave site and respond to security alerts
  • Take responsibility for all site cameras, including daily operational checks and management of trail cameras
  • Manage on-site events involving emergency services, ensuring effective coordination with relevant departments
  • Carry out any additional duties reasonably required to support the business, including tasks relating to poultry farming

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a security management or supervisory role
  • SIA licence preferred but not essential as training can be given
  • Strong understanding of site security, risk management, and investigations
  • Confident leader with the ability to train, support, and manage teams
  • Calm, professional, and decisive when handling incidents
  • Flexible approach to working hours and operational needs
  • Own transport is essential due to the remote location
