Job Description:

As a Security Guard - Perimeter Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a luxury retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and guests, respond to concerns, and deliver standout customer service. Supported by a caring, people-first culture, you will join an agile, reliable, innovative team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, stock areas, entry and exit points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns
  • Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity, address policy violations with professionalism, and notify appropriate parties based on post orders and escalation guidelines
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with store leadership, and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when directed
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management, and support loss prevention efforts through presence, patrol, and customer engagement

Requirements:

  • A guard card/license is preferred
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
