SUMMARY: The primary role of a security guard is to ensure the sufficient protection of property, staff, and patrons. They are responsible for patrolling designated areas, investigating any irregularities, unusual occurrences, or suspicious circumstances, and taking appropriate action to safeguard the well-being of staff, customers, and property.
Job Responsibility
Guard property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry
Guards' patron against theft, assault and abuse
Permits authorized persons to enter property
Patrols periodically buildings, grounds, and worksite
Examines doors, windows, gates to determine that they are secure
Warns violators of rules and infractions such as
smoking, loitering, or carrying forbidden articles, alcohol, weapons, apprehends or expels violators
Responsible for telephone communication with fire or police departments in emergency situations
Records incidents in daily log
Prepare hourly documentation of internal and external patrols in daily log
Cover shifts for other security members
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
One (1) year previous experience in the Security field
Possess a valid Driver's License and be insurable by the Tribe's insurance
Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
