As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service, working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting emergency services when needed, and completing required notifications
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout interior common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and identifying maintenance or access concerns
  • Monitor access points and observe activity around entrances, corridors, and high-traffic areas
  • verify credentials and/or authorize entry per site procedures and direct visitors to appropriate locations
  • Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in daily activity reports, and communicate relevant updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required
  • Be at least 21+ years of age
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
