As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance. You will support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service, working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.
Job Responsibility:
Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting emergency services when needed, and completing required notifications
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout interior common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and identifying maintenance or access concerns
Monitor access points and observe activity around entrances, corridors, and high-traffic areas
verify credentials and/or authorize entry per site procedures and direct visitors to appropriate locations
Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in daily activity reports, and communicate relevant updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership
Requirements:
A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required
Be at least 21+ years of age
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
