Job Description

As a Security Guard - Flex Driver Patrol in Colorado Springs, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will perform highly visible patrols and frequent vehicle rounds, helping to deter security-related incidents and support store teams and guests. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly while delivering customer service.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail store and surrounding property
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, monitoring for suspicious behavior, and requesting assistance when needed
  • Control access and observe customer and associate traffic, reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual conditions to appropriate store contacts and Allied Universal leadership
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and interactions, and communicate updates to site management and/or responding public agencies as required

  • Be 21+ years of age
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
